The lightning-fast spearhead of Team India’s pace attack, Jasprit Bumrah, revealed his ideal bowling partner he wished to share the new ball with.
During a recent interview on Jio Cinema, the official live streaming app of IPL 2024, Jasprit Bumrah, named Waqar Younis, and Wasim Akram as his dream bowling partners.
Since his debut for Team India in 2016, Jasprit Bumrah undoubtedly drew inspiration from watching legends like Waqar Younis, and Wasim Akram deliver thunderbolts for Pakistan.
“I would have loved to bowl alongside Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis,” Jasprit Bumrah said.
Wasim Akram’s Test career saw him taking 414 wickets in 104 matches, averaging 23.62. Additionally, he excelled in ODIs, picking up 502 wickets in 356 matches, marking him as one of the greats in fast bowling.
Across 87 Test matches, Waqar Younis secured 373 wickets with an average of 23.56. In ODIs, he showcased his prowess with 416 wickets in 262 matches, cementing his legacy in fast bowling.
