Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face the table toppers Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 31st match of IPL 2024 on 16th April, Tuesday at the Eden Gardens stadium, Kolkata.

Kolkata Knight Riders have 4 wins out of 5 matches this season, their only loss has come against CSK and they won their previous match by 8 wickets against LSG.

Similarly, Rajasthan Royal has 5 wins out of 6 matches, they lost to GT before beating PBKS by 3 wickets.

Nitish Rana is Unlikely to Make a Return

Nitish Rana has missed the last 4 matches of KKR due to an injury and he is still not 100 per cent fit to play, Angkrish Raghuvanshi to continue.

Manish Pandey is another option that KKR have, if the management decides to drop Raghuwanshi then Pandey can get a chance.

Mitchell Starc Steps Up for KKR

Starc picked up 3 wickets for KKR against LSG and this 3 wicket haul includes the crucial wicket of Pooran. Starc’s returns in death overs were poor this season but he stepped up for his team against LSG and picked up two wickets in the death overs.

Salt is the highest run-getter of KKR so far this season, against LSG he played a match-winning knock of 89* off 47 balls, helping KKR in chasing down 161 runs in just 15.2 overs.

Salt’s opening partner Narine has also come up with performances against RCB and DC; he looked good against CSK too.
