Babar Azam opened up on his batting position against New Zealand.

The first T20I of the five-match series between Pakistan (PAK) and New Zealand (NZ) is scheduled to be played on April 18, Thursday at Rawalpindi Stadium.

Following their recent and embarrassing defeat in New Zealand, Pakistan, with Babar Azam back at the helm as the white-ball skipper, seeks redemption on home turf.

With majority of their star players occupied in the ongoing IPL 2024, the current Black Caps squad touring Pakistan leans heavily on young and inexperienced talent.

On the other hand, Pakistan is confronting the Black Caps with a strong squad, comprising all their players, including Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who returned from retirement to participate in the T20 World Cup 2024.
