IPL 2024: KL Rahul Makes History, Surpasses MS Dhoni’s Milestone With 83-Run Knock vs CSK
KL Rahul has surpassed MS Dhoni to become the top batsman with most 50+ scores in IPL history.
LSG captain, KL Rahul, played a spectacular knock, scoring 82 runs from just 53 balls with the help of nine boundaries and three sixes to lead his side to an easy victory against Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets on Friday, April 19 in Lucknow.
In doing so, KL Rahul has now surpassed MS Dhoni, becoming the batter with the most 50+ scores as a designated wicket-keeper in IPL history. It was KL Rahul’s 25th half-century knock in the IPL, while MS Dhoni has 24 50+ knocks in IPL history.
Quinton de Kock and Dinesh Karthik are sitting at the third and fourth positions with 23 and 21 fifty-plus scores in IPL history as designated wicket-keeper batters, respectively. At fifth position is ex-CSK batter Robin Uthappa with 18 half-century knocks.
