Ambati Rayudu Mocks RCB, Urges CSK to Donate One of Their Trophies to Virat Kohli & Co.
Ambati Rayudu was frustrated with CSK’s defeat against RCB in a virtual knockout game.

Ambati Rayudu’s heart clearly belonged to his former team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), during their nail-biting clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024.
RCB, needing a win to qualify for the playoffs themselves, rode on a sensational bowling performance to restrict CSK to 191/7 while chasing a mammoth 219 runs.
There was a huge celebration among RCB fans as they filled the Bengaluru roads, burst firecrackers, and cut cakes. Meanwhile, the visibly frustrated Ambati Rayudu couldn’t stop himself from taking a dig at RCB.
Here’s what Ambati Rayudu said on Star Sports:
“We saw what the reaction on the streets of Bengaluru was like. In fact, maybe CSK should just hand over one of their trophies to RCB so they can have a parade.”
Former RCB pacer Varun Aaron, sharing the commentary box, found humour in Rayudu’s comment, saying, “He clearly can’t digest the fact that RCB knocked out CSK.”
While both teams finished the season with 14 points, RCB’s superior net run rate gave them the edge, sending them into the playoffs and leaving CSK heartbroken. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be facing Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator game.
