Asia Cup 2023: Saud Shakeel Dropped as Pakistan Announces Playing XI for First Match Against Nepal

Pakistan's lineup sees minimal changes from the squad that contested the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.

Pakistan has announced its playing XI for the Asia Cup 2023 opener against Nepal, scheduled to be played on Wednesday, August 30 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan.

The lineup remains largely unchanged from the squad that faced Afghanistan in the three-match ODI series. Opening the innings for Pakistan will be Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman.

The middle order features captain Babar Azam, along with Mohammed Rizwan, Salman Agha, and Iftikhar Ahmed.

Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz are positioned in the lower order, while the responsibility of the pace attack lies with Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf.
