AUS vs PAK: Injury Blow for Pakistan as Spinner Abrar Ahmed Ruled Out of First Test Against Australia, Replacement Announced
Sajid Khan has been called in as Abrar Ahmed replacement for the opening Test against Australia.

Pakistan suffered a big blow ahead of their first Test against Australia, with spinner Abrar Ahmed sidelined for the series opener commencing at Perth Stadium on December 14, 2023.
Abrar had to leave the field during Pakistan’s game against Prime Minister XI in Canberra, citing severe pain in his right leg around the knee. Following an assessment, the medical team suggested an MRI scan, supported by a provisional diagnosis.
Choosing not to bat, Abrar bowled 27 overs in the match, conceding 80 runs and claiming the wicket of Marcus Harris. Pakistan declared at 391-9, and the Prime Minister’s XI finished at 367-4, leading to a draw.
Abrar is scheduled for an intervention at Perth on Monday, December 13, followed by a period of conservative rehabilitation under the guidance of the medical staff. Sajid Khan has been named as his replacement.
