BCCI announced India squad for World Cup 2023
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. In keeping with tradition, Rohit Sharma will lead the team, while Hardik Pandya will serve as vice-captain.
The batting line-up, including Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer, remains as expected, with KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan handling wicket-keeping duties. Rahul is expected to start in the playing XI, with Ishan Kishan serving as backup to the Karnataka batter.
In the fast bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah takes charge, accompanied by Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. Among the all-rounders, Hardik Pandya partners with Shardul Thakur, and in the spin department, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav will take on the responsibilities.
