The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the complete schedule for the upcoming India Women’s multi-format series against South Africa. The historic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will be hosting the only Test match of the tour.
Team India’s home series against South Africa kicks off with a three-match ODI series at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, scheduled between June 16 and June 23. These ODIs are part of the ongoing 2022-25 ICC Women’s Championship, which acts as a qualification pathway for the 2025 ODI Women’s World Cup.
Following the ODIs, both teams will travel to Chennai for a one-off Test match at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium,taking place from June 28 to July 1. This Test wasn’t originally part of the Future Tours Programme (FTP), but the BCCI and Cricket South Africa (CSA) jointly decided to include it to promote women’s Test cricket.
Chennai To Host T20I Series
The iconic Chepauk will then witness a three-match T20I series between India and South Africa on July 5, July 7, and July 9 respectively. This series will be a crucial preparation for both sides ahead of the much-awaited Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 which will be hosted by Bangladesh in October.

- Warm-up game on June 13 in Bengaluru – 1:30 pm IST
- 1st ODI on June 16 in Bengaluru – 1:30 pm IST
- 2nd ODI on June 19 in Bengaluru – 1:30 pm IST
- 3rd ODI on June 23 in Bengaluru – 1:30 pm IST
One-off Test
June 28 to July 1 in Chennai – 9:30 am IST on all days
T20I Series
- 1st T20I on July 5 in Chennai – 7 pm IST
