IPL 2024 – Match 15: RCB vs LKN Pitch Report of M Chinnaswamy Stadium with Stats and Records

RCB's winning percentage at M Chinnaswamy Stadium is hover around 50%

The 15th match of the IPL 2024 will see Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) going head-to-head against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Tuesday, April 2.

As of now, Royal Challengers Bengaluru holds the ninth position in the standings, having garnered two points from three matches, with one victory and two losses. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants are positioned sixth, having acquired two points from two games, including one win and one loss.

RCB kicked off their IPL 2024 journey with a disappointing six-wicket loss against Chennai Super Kings in the season opener. They managed to turn things around with a hard-fought four-wicket victory against PBKS.

However, their attempt to secure a winning streak was thwarted as they succumbed to a seven-wicket defeat in their third fixture. Despite Virat Kohli leading the Orange Cap race with 181 runs, he has lacked adequate support from his teammates in the batting department.

Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell have notably underperformed, while Dinesh Karthik has been a standout performer alongside Kohli. Although Anuj Rawat showcased promise initially, he has failed to replicate his early success in the subsequent matches.

On the other hand, LSG encountered a setback in their opening match with a 20-run loss against RR. However, they quickly regained momentum with a convincing 21-run victory against PBKS.

The availability of KL Rahul remains uncertain despite his appearance in all three matches. Initially not expected to take on wicket-keeping duties, Rahul has been doing so except for the PBKS match, where he batted before being replaced by Impact Player Naveen-ul-Haq.

LSG also grappled with batting inconsistencies. While Quinton de Kock impressed with a half-century in the previous game, the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Marcus Stoinis, and Ayush Badoni have struggled for form, raising questions about their positions in the playing XI.

RCB and LSG have faced each other four times in the IPL, in which the former holds an edge with a 3-1 lead.
