IPL 2021: KKR vs RCB – Match 30, Match Prediction – Who Will Win Today’s Match?

IPL 2021 - Match 30, KKR vs RCB: The 30th match of the Indian Premier League will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

KKR vs RCB: Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the struggling Kolkata Knight Riders in the 30th match of the Indian Premier League 2021 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Monday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore were leading the table with four wins on the trot, but have slipped to the third spot at the halfway stage after suffering two defeats from their last three matches. However, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have enough depth and balance in their squad to return to winning ways after suffering a tough loss against Punjab Kings last week.

They have a well-balanced squad with Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers firing at the top. With their bowling finally impressing this season, the RCB look set for a playoff berth in IPL 2021. But they will need the duo of Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal to deliver sooner rather than later with bat and ball, respectively. The duo are yet to hit the ground running in IPL 2021.

Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, are still struggling in the tournament, having won only two matches out of the seven they have played so far. They are currently languishing at the second last spot in the points table with only four points in their account. They lost their previous match against Delhi Capitals, which was more one sides clash.

Their top-order consisting of Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, and Rahul Tripathi has blown hot and cold, with Eoin Morgan also struggling for runs in the middle. The onus will be on Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik to deliver the goods with the bat if Kolkata is to return to winning ways.

Much is expected from their bowlers too, with only Varun Chakravarthy and Pat Cummins impressing for KKR. Given the conditions in Ahmedabad, Kolkata will need the likes of Pat Cummins and possibly Lockie Ferguson to fire big time in what is a crucial game for the former IPL champions. With a resourceful squad at their disposal, one can’t write the Knight Riders off at any cost.

RCB and KKR look evenly matched on paper with nothing much to separate the two sides. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore might hold the edge, owing to their performances in IPL 2021 so far. Either way, both teams will be keen to register another win as a mouth-watering clash beckons at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday.

KKR vs RCB Weather & Pitch Report

Pitch Report

As seen in previous games at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the pitch is slightly on the slower side. But the batsmen should still get value for their shots. While there is some swing on offer early on, the fast bowlers will look to vary their pace to get the most out of this surface.

The spinners will have a big say in the outcome of the game with ample turn on offer in the middle overs. With dew expected to play a big role, both teams will ideally look to chase upon winning the toss. 160-170 should be a par score at the venue.

Weather Conditions

According to the weather forecast, the sky can be cloudy but there is no threat of rain interruption during this upcoming match, which is good news for cricket lovers. The temperature of the day can be around between 32-Degree Celsius and 38-Degree Celsius.
