The lack of renowned all-rounders in the form of Hardik Pandya and death-over specialists like Mohammed Shami has become concerning, as Umesh Yadav, Azmatullah Omarzai and Spencer Johnson all three pacers of GT  leaked too many runs in both their previous matches.

SRH’s Strengths 

Travis Head’s record for the quickest half-century by a Sunrisers Hyderabad batter lasted only 20 balls as Abhishek Sharma smoked a 16-ball 50 to lay the foundation of a record-breaking total in the high-scoring contest against Mumbai Indians in match No.8 of the IPL 2024.

SRH’s batting lineup is in its greatest form ever, everyone is scoring runs, in-form Heinrich Klaasen also played a blinder of a knock as his 34-ball 80 runs innings led SRH to the greatest total ever in the IPL’s history. 

SRH’s Weaknesses

SRH’s weakness lies in their out-of-form bowling. Only the captain and the team’s most expensive player managed to bag two wickets and maintain an economy rate just above 8. 

While all other bowlers were being thrashed out of the park, Pat Cummins led by example, taking the wicket of the dangerous-looking Tilak Verma, which later proved to be the turning point of the match.
