IPL 2024 – Match 3, KKR vs SRH Match Prediction: Who Will Win Today’s Match?

T Natarajan is just 4 wickets away from claiming his 150-wickets

The 3rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and the second game on 23rd March will see the two-time champion franchise KKR hosting the Orange Army on Sunday, March 23 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

What to Expect:

Gautam Gambhir is back with the Knights, so should be the spinning decks which he used throughout his regime as a skipper with the Knights, add to that, the atmosphere which the fans create at the venue should already be a sight warning for the Hyderabad Team.

But if there’s someone who knows how to handle the Indian crowd it is Pat Cummins, just a few months he was the chief architect in giving a lifetime heartbreak to the Indian fans, and this March he hopes to improve his T20 numbers and the fortunes of his Team too.

KKR vs SRH Toss Prediction:

Defending under lights is always tough and to this, if you add the ground dimensions of the tiny Eden Gardens defending becomes a tough job, given a chance every team here would want to chase.

KKR vs SRH Strengths & Weaknesses:

KKR’s Strengths:

The troika of Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma will be very hard to handle at Eden Gardens, all three of them bowl fast and keep stumps in play which gives no respite to the bats playing them.

In the past two years, Rinku Singh has made sure everyone remembers him because of his range and class and if you Pair Andre Russell with him it gives you top-class batting powers in the late overs.

KKR’s Weaknesses:

If Spin bowling was KKR’s strength their fast bowling is the opposite of it. Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora are superbly talented players, but expecting them to be straight away would be a bit impractical and Mitchell Strac who’s back in the IPL 8 long years will find it hard to contain the free-flowing bats playing in this IPL.

SRH’s Strengths:

Hyderabad has probably the most dynamic middle order in the league, they have the players everyone craves of Aiden Markram, Abdul Samad, Rahul Tripathi and of course, Heinrich Klassen are players who could win you games from every situation and in the case of collapse you’ll have the services of Aiden Markram who is completely fine in absorbing the pressure, also the small size of the Eden Gardens will certainly suit them.

SRH’s Weaknesses:

Pat Cummins and Daniel Vettori will be the fourth Skipper-Coach combination that Hyderabad has appointed which would have certainly created a bit of Panic in their dressing room, which has made sure Cummins will have to do a lot of work off the field too, bringing a sense of calmness and spot security will make sure everyone in this setup feels secure about their place in the playing XI.

Conclusion: It will all come down to how well Hyderabad’s batters handle the spinners of their opposition, but if they fail Kolkata bamboozling Hyderabad should not come as a surprise.
