The 31st match of IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders turned into a nightmare for PBKS fans. The match, held at the new stadium in Chandigarh, saw Punjab Kings get bundled out for just 111 runs in 15.3 overs — the lowest team total of this season.
PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first. However, his team had a shocking collapse. Despite a strong start from Prabhsimran Singh (30 off 15) and Priyansh Arya (22 off 12), things went downhill quickly once they lost early wickets. Shreyas Iyer himself got out for a duck. None of the other batters managed to stay at the crease long enough to build a strong total.
The middle-order completely collapsed, with Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, and Marco Jansen failing to make any impact. The entire batting unit looked under pressure against KKR’s disciplined bowling attack.
