Prithvi Shaw Hits Back at Trolls With Fan-made Meme After Mumbai Skipper Slams Double Ton
India opener Prithvi Shaw hit back at trolls and shared a fan-made 'meme to dream' post featuring rapper Divine's lyrics after slamming an unbeaten double hundred in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
India opener Prithvi Shaw is no stranger to Internet trolling. However, Shaw roared back to form on Thursday with a stunning knock against Puducherry. He scored his maiden List A double-century and went on to score 227 off just 152 deliveries and shut the critics.
The 21-year-old registered the highest individual score in the tournament, surpassing Sanju Samson’s 2021 in 2019 against Goa. This was Shaw’s maiden List A double ton, that came off just 142 balls. In the process, he helped Mumbai register the highest team total in the tournament’s history.
With the feat, Prithvi Shaw has joined an elite list of Indian players including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, KV Kaushal, Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who have scored a List A double hundred.
After proving himself on the field, Prithvi Shaw has hit back at his critics and trolls. Following his stunning double-century, Shaw took to his Instagram account to share a fan-made meme. The meme took inspiration from a song by rapper Divine which read:
