‘5 Players Missing’ – Michael Vaughan Lauds Young Team India for Beating England

Michael Vaughan lauded team India for beating England in fourth Test.

Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel’s determined efforts propelled India to a 5-wicket win in the fourth Test against England, hence claiming an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

Chasing 192 runs, India started the day on 40/0 with Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal looking in a great touch. While Yashasvi returned to the pavilion after contributing 38 runs, Rohit Sharma powered on, reaching a commendable fifty with his aggressive stroke play.

However, his stumping marked the beginning of a collapse, with Ravindra Jadeja, Rajat Patidar, and Sarfaraz Khan falling one after the other. Out of the blue, England clawed their way back, with Michael Vaughan tipping them as the ones to beat. That’s when Gill and Jurel teamed up and stuck together till the finish line.

“5 world class players missing .. Losing the Toss .. deficit in the 1st innings .. Full credit to India .. that’s a very impressive test victory .. alot of new young indian players are arriving and will be around for a long time .. #INDvENG,” Michael Vaughan wrote on X.
