Afghanistan has appointed Dwayne Bravo as the bowling consultant for T20 World Cup 2024.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced the appointment of West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo as their bowling consultant for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Earlier, Afghanistan unveiled their 15-member squad for the biennial tournament, with Rashid Khan leading the charge. Bravo’s experience and leadership as a two-time T20 World Cup champion are sure to be invaluable assets for the young Afghan bowling attack.
The squad features established spinners, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Noor Ahmad, alongside pacers Naveen-ul-Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqi. Bravo’s guidance will be crucial in refining their skills and developing effective strategies for the high-pressure World Cup environment.
The batting lineup for Afghanistan boasts a strong core, including Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Najib Zadran, and Ibrahim Zadran. These batters will be supported by the all-rounders Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, and captain Rashid Khan himself.
Afghanistan kick off their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign with a Group C encounter against Uganda. They will then face off against New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the West Indies in their quest to reach the knockout stages.
