Ahmedabad Team Officially Named Gujarat Titans
Ahmedabad's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise has been named 'Gujarat Titans.

Putting a full stop to months of wait and speculation, the Ahmedabad-based Indian Premier League franchise has finally announced its name. The new team of the cash-rich league will be known as ‘Gujarat Titans’.
Lucknow Super Giants is also the new addition to the grand league. Sanjiv Goenka’s RPSG group bought it for Rs. 7090 Crore in October last year. While the Gujarat Titans was purchased by the CVC group for a whopping amount of Rs. 5625 Crore.
The Gujarat Titans will be led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was released by the Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL mega auction. Along with the 28-year-old Indian, Ahmedabad also picked in Afghanistan’s leg-spinner Rashid Khan and Indian opener Shubman Gill. Both Pandya and Rashid were signed at ₹15 crore, while the Indian opener was roped in for ₹8 crore.
