Aiden Markram Appointed Captain of South Africa’s T20I Team
Aiden Markram has been appointed T20I captain of South Africa.
Aiden Markram has been named as the T20I captain for South Africa in their upcoming white-ball series against West Indies, as Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) squads.
Markram will take over the captaincy from Temba Bavuma who stepped down from the role last month. Markram’s previous experience leading the South African Under-19 team, as well as captaining at provincial and franchise level, will stand him in good stead for his new role. He recently led Sunrisers Eastern Cape to the inaugural Betway SA20 title.

The white-ball series kicks off with the ODI series on March 16 at Buffalo Park while the T20I series will commence on March 25 at SuperSport Park,Centurion.
