AUS vs NZ: England Sledges Cameron Green From Behind The Stumps – Watch Video

Jos Buttler asked Cameron Green to perform well, with the IPL auction coming up.

England captain Jos Buttler came up with a hilarious sledging from behind the stumps when Australia’s young gun Cameron Green came to take a strike during the first ODI at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, November 17.

The incident happened in the 37th over of Australia’s run-chase when England skipper Jos Buttler teased Green by hinting that the Australian all-rounder is going to fetch huge bids in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction, which will take place on December 23 in Kochi.

“Big auction coming up,” Buttler could be heard saying on the stump mic from behind the stumps.

The young all-rounder has reportedly registered his name for the upcoming 2023 IPL auction. Given his ability to score runs at a brisk rate and bowl consistently at 130-140 kmph, he is going to be one of the hottest properties in the showpiece event.

Green had hogged the limelight during Australia’s tour of India when he clobbered the Indian bowlers all over the ground and scored two back-to-back half-centuries while opening the innings for Australia in David Warner’s absence.

The 23-year-old smashed 118 runs in three games with two fifties and a strike rate of 214.55. Green is also a handy bowler, capable of extracting steep bounce to unsettle batters, and is a gun fielder.

The 23-year-old has played eight T20I matches so far and has scored 139 runs at a staggering strike rate of 173.75. With the ball, he has scalped five wickets in seven innings at an average of 35.6 and an economy of 8.9.
