AUS vs PAK: Wasim Akram Denied Entry to Perth Stadium By Security

Security personnel at Perth Stadium couldn’t identify Wasim Akram.

Former Pakistan pacer and legend, Wasim Akram, was stopped by security from entering Optus Stadium in Perth, which is hosting the ongoing first Test of the three-match series between Australia and Pakistan.

Wasim Akram shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) via cricket.com.au, recounting a humorous moment when he was asked to show his media card twice at Optus Stadium, responding with a lighthearted ‘Here we go, buddy.”

“He said show me your card, and I did. He said, ‘No, show it again; I haven’t seen your picture.’ So I said, “Here we go, buddy,” Wasim Akram said.

As for the first Test, Australia posted 487 runs in the first innings with David Warner smashing 164 runs from 211 balls. Pakistan is currently batting at 132/2 with Imam-ul-Haq (38) and Khurram Shahzad (7) at the crease.
