AUS vs SA: Theunis de Bruyn to Miss Third Test Against Australia for Birth of First Child
Theunis de Bruyn will miss the third and final Test against Australia.

South African batter Theunis de Bruyn will not be available for the third and final Test against Australia as he is set to return home for the birth of his first child.
The right-handed batter was part of the playing XI for the Boxing Day Test, where he scored 40 runs across two innings after coming in place of Rassie van der Dussen.
Bruyn also hogged the limelight when Australian pacer Mitchell Starc warned him for backing up at the non-striker’s end during the second innings at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) statement on Theunis de Bruyn:
“Batter Theunis de Bruyn will miss the third #AUSvSA Test in Sydney as he returns home for the birth of his first child. We wish him everything of the best for this exciting part of his life.”
South Africa will either look to slot in Rassie van der Dussen or backup wicket keeper batter Henrich Klaasen in the third and final Test against Australia, set to be played from January 4.
