Babar Azam Injured During Practice; PSL 2025 Participation in Doubt?

Babar Azam suffered an injury during practice, and his availability for Zalmi's PSL 2025 opener is now uncertain.

The new season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is just about to begin, and fans are excited to see how the six teams will perform. While Islamabad United will try to defend their title, all eyes will also be on Babar Azam and his team Peshawar Zalmi.

Injury scare for Peshawar Zalmi captain

Just before the start of the season, Peshawar Zalmi have received a big scare. Their captain, Babar Azam, picked up an injury during a practice session. He was seen limping off the field and looked in some pain, which made fans and the team management worried.

So far, the exact nature of the injury is not known. But with only one day left for the tournament to begin, Zalmi are now hoping their skipper will recover in time.

Will Babar Azam miss the season?

There is no official confirmation from the team yet. As of now, it looks like Babar may have just got a minor knock and was taken off as a precaution. Still, Zalmi fans are nervous because Babar plays a very big role in the team’s success.

Zalmi have not won the PSL trophy since 2017, and they will need Babar to be fit and in form if they want to change that this year.

Peshawar Zalmi will begin their PSL 2025 campaign on April 12 against Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi. Whether Babar Azam will play or not is still a question, but the team and fans are keeping their fingers crossed.
