Khushdil Shah’s Finishing Power Sets a Big Target

Rangpur Riders batted first and posted an imposing 191/6 in their 20 overs. After a shaky start, Saif Hassan (40 off 33) and Iftikhar Ahmed (49 off 38) steadied the innings with a 89-run partnership.

However, it was Khushdil Shah’s explosive 46 not out off just 23 balls, featuring three fours and three sixes, that powered the Riders to a competitive total. Nurul Hasan also chipped in with a quickfire 25 off 11 deliveries, maintaining a strike rate of 227.27. Alauddin Babu was the pick of the bowlers for Dhaka Capitals, claiming 3 wickets for 43 runs.

Mahedi Hasan Shines with the Ball

Chasing 192, Dhaka Capitals struggled against Rangpur’s disciplined bowling attack. Tanzid Hasan (30 off 21) and Litton Das (31 off 27) provided a steady start, but the middle-order collapse derailed the Capitals’ chase.

Mahedi Hasan was the star with the ball, picking up 4 wickets for 27 runs in his four overs. Khushdil Shah also contributed with 2 wickets, while the Riders’ bowlers kept the pressure on Dhaka Capitals throughout the innings.

Dhaka Capitals could only manage 151/9 in their 20 overs, falling short by 40 runs.
