BPL 2024: Shoaib Malik Flies to Dubai Midway Through Bangladesh Premier League Due to Personal Reasons

Shoaib Malik, the ex-Pakistan skipper, has returned to Dubai during the mid-Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 tournament after completing three matches for Fortune Barishal, citing personal reasons for his departure.

Shoaib Malik’s final appearance for Fortune Barishal was on January 23 against Comilla Victorians, where he scored seven runs without bowling. Prior to that, he remained unbeaten in both of his preceding two matches.

As per the latest reports, Ahmed Shehzad is likely to step in as the replacement for Shoaib Malik in the Fortune Barishal squad for the remaining matches of the tournament.
