Brandon King to Miss Remainder of T20 World Cup 2024

Brandon King is likely to miss the remainder of the T20 World Cup 2024.

The West Indies have suffered a huge blow as Brandon King is uncertain to take part in the remainder of the T20 World Cup 2024 after getting injured in the recent Super Eight match against England.

Brandon King made an explosive start for the West Indies, scoring 23 runs from only 12 deliveries against a star-studded English bowling attack. He also hit a 101-meter six off pacer Reece Topley.

However, just as Brandon King looked set to extend the damage against England, he sustained an injury while attempting to drive Sam Curran’s delivery through cover. Later, he walked off the field after facing his 13th ball.

As for the match itself, West Indies posted a total of 180 runs in their first innings. England efficiently chased down the target in just 17.3 overs, ultimately winning the match by eight wickets.
