CPL 2024: Azam Khan, Saim Ayub, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz Joins Guyana Amazon Warriors

Guyana Amazon Warriors have signed Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Saim Ayub and Azam Khan for CPL 2024.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors are gearing up for their CPL title defence in 2024, and they have announced the return of some key international players who were instrumental in securing their first championship last year.

Leading the pack of returning players is Imran Tahir, the veteran South African spinner who captained the Warriors to their historic victory last year. His experience and leadership will be crucial as the team aims to defend their title.

Saim Ayub, Azam Khan Joins Guyana Amazon Warriors

Guyana Amazon Warriors have secured the return of their explosive opening batter, Saim Ayub. The young Pakistani star impressed everyone with his aggressive batting style in 2023 and will be looking to continue his form alongside his fellow countryman, Azam Khan.

Azam Khan, another power-hitting Pakistani wicket-keeper batter, also returns to the Warriors lineup. Although he looked completely out of form off late and was also dropped from the national team, his record in franchise cricket is impressive.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz Joins Guyana Amazon Warriors

Afghanistan wicket-keeper batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who contributed valuable runs with two half-centuries in the 2022 season, rejoins the Warriors squad. He is having a great time with the bat in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

With three spots remaining in their squad, the Warriors will look to fill them with all-rounders during the upcoming draft in July. This will give them a well-balanced team with strong batting, bowling, and fielding options.
