CSK’s Tushar Deshpande Mocks RCB on Instagram After IPL Eliminator Loss, Quickly Deletes Post

RCB lost against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator of the IPL 2024.

The longstanding rivalry between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took a new turn on social media after RCB’s exit from the IPL 2024 playoffs. The banter, which began with memes and online trolling, saw CSK pacer Tushar Deshpande take a dig at RCB’s trophy drought.

Following Royal Challengers Bengaluru‘s convincing win over Chennai Super Kings in the Eliminator qualifier on May 18th, RCB fans were hopeful of a strong showing against the Rajasthan Royals. However, their dreams were dashed as Sanju Samson & Co. emerged victorious in the Eliminator match. This defeat triggered hilarious memes from the CSK fanbase on social media.

Meanwhile, their young pacer Tushar Deshpande joined the online fun by sharing a meme on his Instagram story. The meme mocked RCB by misspelling Bengaluru’s Cantonment Railway Station as “Cant” in short form.

Following a strong showing in the league stages, including a dramatic playoff qualification secured with a win over CSK, RCB’s familiar struggles resurfaced in the Eliminator.

After putting to bat first, RCB could only manage a total of 172/8, which RR chased down successfully with four wickets in hand. This victory propels RR into Qualifier 2 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 24th at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
