Prince Yadav, a young pacer from Delhi, is set to make his IPL debut for LSG, bringing raw pace and promise to the tournament.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have handed a debut to 23-year-old pacer Prince Yadav in their opening match of IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. The young speedster has impressed in domestic cricket and now gets his big break in the IPL.

A Rising Fast-Bowling Talent

Prince Yadav, born on December 12, 2001, is a right-arm pacer from Delhi. He gained attention during the 2024 Delhi Premier League with his ability to bowl in the early to mid-140s km/h range. His performances there earned him recognition, and he was later signed by LSG for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction.

Before making it to the squad, Yadav was a net bowler for LSG in IPL 2023, where he had the opportunity to train with some of the best in the business. His raw pace and ability to generate movement make him a promising addition to the team’s pace attack.

Impressive Domestic Record

Prince Yadav has already shown his potential in domestic T20 cricket. In eight T20 matches, he has taken 11 wickets, with a best bowling figure of 3/36. His standout performance came in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he dismissed Rinku Singh and Sameer Rizvi—two batters known for their T20 hitting ability.

Apart from T20s, Yadav has also played in domestic List A and First-Class formats, consistently delivering strong performances. His ability to bowl in both powerplay and death overs makes him a valuable asset.

LSG’s Faith in Young Talent

Lucknow Super Giants have shown confidence in young Indian players, and Yadav’s inclusion is another example of their strategy. His raw pace adds an exciting dimension to the team’s bowling attack, complementing the experienced pacers in the squad.

IPL 2025: A Big Opportunity

With LSG playing their first match against Delhi Capitals, Yadav will have a golden chance to prove himself on the big stage. His debut will also be watched closely by Rishabh Pant, who, as a fellow Delhi cricketer, knows his strengths well.

With the ability to bowl fast and trouble top batters, Prince Yadav is a player to watch in IPL 2025. If he capitalizes on this opportunity, he could establish himself as one of the most exciting young pacers in Indian cricket.
