Sanju Samson pulled a muscle while batting and retired hurt on 31* during the match against Delhi Capitals.

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was forced to leave the field retired hurt during their IPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Samson was batting on 31 not out when he appeared to pull a muscle while running between the wickets. He immediately looked in serious discomfort and struggled to walk properly. After a short discussion with the physio, he decided to walk back to the pavilion.

The Royals skipper was in good touch before the injury, having struck a few crisp boundaries. But the pain was too much for him to continue. In his absence, Riyan Parag came in to bat.

It is still unclear how serious the injury is, but Samson looked in visible pain as he walked off. Rajasthan Royals will be hoping it is nothing major, especially with the business end of the tournament approaching.
