DC vs SRH: Abhishek Sharma’s Lazy Running Leads to Bizarre Run Out in IPL 2025
Abhishek Sharma got run out in a bizarre mix-up with Travis Head.

The 10th match of IPL 2025 is being played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Vizag. SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. However, their innings started on a disappointing note with an unfortunate run out in the very first over.
Abhishek Sharma’s Unlucky Dismissal
SRH’s aggressive opener, Abhishek Sharma, got out in a bizarre fashion due to lazy running. It happened on the fifth ball of the first over, bowled by Mitchell Starc.
Starc delivered a wide yorker, which Travis Head tried to squeeze through the off-side. The ball hit his back pad after an inside edge, and Abhishek immediately signaled “no” for the run. However, Head kept running while watching the ball, and Abhishek reacted too late.
By the time he started running, it was already too late. Vipraj Nigam made a sharp under-arm throw and hit the stumps at the keeper’s end. Replays showed that a single was possible, but Abhishek was never interested in taking it.
SRH Off to a Poor Start
This early wicket was a big blow for SRH as Abhishek is known for his attacking batting in the powerplay. His dismissal left SRH struggling right from the first over. The team will now have to rebuild and post a strong total against a powerful DC bowling attack.
