Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have made an interesting change for their third group-stage match of IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals (DC).

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, SRH have brought in Zeeshan Ansari, replacing Simarjeet Singh. This move has sparked curiosity among fans about the young leg-spinner.

Who Is Zeeshan Ansari?

Zeeshan Ansari is a leg-spin bowler from Uttar Pradesh who has represented his state in domestic cricket. While he has played five First-Class matches, he is yet to feature in List-A cricket.

He has also played one T20 match but is still searching for his first wicket in the format. In red-ball cricket, he has taken 17 wickets, showing his potential as a promising spinner.

Zeeshan Ansari’s IPL Journey and Price

The 25-year-old leg-spinner was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 40 lakhs in the IPL 2024 mega auction. Though he hasn’t played in the IPL before, he gained recognition with an impressive performance in the UP T20 league. In 12 matches, he picked up 24 wickets with a strike rate of 10 and an economy of 7.63, making him a valuable asset.

Talking about the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad were bowled out for 163 runs in the first innings.
