England’s Big Win Over Oman Revives T20 World Cup Campaign

England bowled out Oman for just 47 runs and chased it down in just 19 balls.

England’s T20 World Cup campaign is back on track after a dominant 8-wicket victory over Oman in a lopsided contest.

This emphatic win not only keeps their qualification hopes alive but also pushes their net run rate (+3.08) above Scotland’s (+2.16) for a crucial advantage.

Opting to bowl first, England captain Jos Buttler made a wise decision as their bowlers ran riot. Adil Rashid led the way with a superb spell of 4 wickets for just 11 runs, while Jofra Archer and Mark Wood were equally destructive, picking up 3 wickets each for just 12 runs.

Oman‘s batting crumbled under the pressure, mustering a meagre total of 47 runs in a mere 13.2 overs. Only Shoaib Khan (11) managed to reach double digits for the hapless Oman side.

England’s chase, though straightforward, wasn’t entirely without hiccups. Phil Salt, known for his aggressive batting, smashed a couple of sixes before being dismissed by Bilal Khan for just 3 runs.

Will Jacks followed soon after, scoring only 5 runs before being caught by Kashyap Prajapati off Kaleemullah’s bowling. However, captain Buttler, with an unbeaten 24 runs from just 8 deliveries, made sure his team chased down the target in just 3.1 overs.
