CSK lost that match by 10 runs and soon after the match ended, MS Dhoni and CSK players were abused by trolls on Social Media. Some even abused MS Dhoni’s 5-year-old daughter Ziva.
The trolls gave rape threats and physical violence to the little one while expressing their frustration over MS Dhoni’s ‘not expected’ form. The threats allegedly appeared on MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi’s Instagram accounts.
Almost everyone is condemning this recent incident. Recently Irfan Pathan also lashed out at the trolls for targeting MS Dhoni and his family. Now Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi also came in support of MS Dhoni and condemned the incident, saying that the threats and abuses directed at MS Dhoni and his family are not right and should not happen.
The former skipper also heaped praise on MS Dhoni, saying that he has taken Indian cricket to new heights and doesn’t deserve such treatment.
“I don’t know what sort of threats were directed at MS Dhoni & his family but it’s not right & shouldn’t happen. Dhoni’s the person who has taken Indian cricket to new heights. He’s taken junior & senior players along this journey & doesn’t deserve such treatment,” Shahid Afridi said according to Pakistani journalist Saj Sadiq
The local police have increased the security at MS Dhoni’s farmhouse in Ranchi where his wife and daughter are staying.
