‘I Won’t Tell You Guys’ – AB de Villiers Declines to Reveal Reason Behind Virat Kohli Missing First Two Tests vs England
South African maestro AB de Villiers refused to share any info regarding Virat Kohli's absence from first two test against England
Former South African pace maestro AB de Villiers, a dear friend of Virat Kohli, shared that he intends to get in touch with Kohli shortly to check on his well-being after Kohli pulled out from the first two test matches against England.
Virat Kohli, notably, opted out of the first two Test matches against England citing personal reasons. He urged fans, the BCCI, and Indian captain Rohit Sharma not to speculate on the details of his decision.
AB de Villiers, speaking on his YouTube Channel said:
“No one knows what has happened yet. I am sure we will get to know soon. If Virat talks about personal reasons, there must be a very good reason for that. Maybe he is also tired. He has been playing a lot of cricket. Could be family stuff. I will find out soon but I won’t tell you guys. His friendship is too important to me.”
De Villiers and Kohli have forged a strong friendship, stemming from their years of camaraderie in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) dressing room. The duo keeps checking on each other from time to time.
