If You Can’t Respect Legends, Don’t Buy Them: Fans Urge SRH Management After Warner Was Dropped
David Warner, who was axed as SRH captain on Saturday, has been dropped from the side's playing XI vs RR on Sunday. SRH director of cricket Tom Moody has confirmed the development ahead of the match.

David Warner has been dropped from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing XI for their game against the Rajasthan Royals (RR). The news comes just one day after SRH management announced Kane Williamson as their new skipper, replacing the 34-year-old.
However, the decision of dropping him has backfired the team as they lost their Sunday match against Rajasthan Royals by 55 runs. Earlier in the match, SRH won the toss and offered Sanju Samson and boys to bat first.
After putting to bat first, Rajasthan Royals posted 220 runs for a loss of 3 wickets. Jos Buttler was in brilliant form with the bat as he smashed his maiden T20 hundred on Sunday. He went on to score 124 runs from 64 balls at the SR of 193.75. Sanju Samson also played well and smashed 48 runs from 33 balls.
In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad could manage only 165 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 55 runs, with Manish Pandey (31 off 20) being their highest scorer. Jonny Bairstow scored 30 runs from 21 balls and Kane Williamson smashed 20 runs from 21 balls.
David Warner Spotted Carrying Drinks For The Team
Now in an overwhelming sight of sportsmanship, David Warner has been spotted carrying drinks for the team during the match. However, the gesture didn’t go well with the netizens as they all got emotional after seeing him carrying drinks and helmets during the match.
While some find it heartbreaking, few have blamed the management for not backing him in his tough time.
No doubt, David Warner has struggled with the bat this year as he scored 193 runs in 6 matches with 2 half-centuries at a strike rate of just 110.28 and has hit just 15 fours and 6 sixes thus far in the tournament. Fans have expressed their disappointment on the matter and questioned the management for the same. We have picked some of the reactions for you.
