Bangladesh rode on Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s flamboyant knock to register a 1-wicket victory over team India in the first ODI at Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series on Sunday, December 4.
Bangladesh chased down the target of 187 runs in 46 overs courtesy of their tenth-wicket unbeaten partnership worth 54 runs. The visitors reduced Bangladesh to 136/9 before Mehidya Hasan Miraz took the matter in his hands and clobbered an unbeaten 38 off 39 balls to take his side over the finish line.

Captain Litton Das top-scored for the hosts with 41 runs from 63 balls while Shakib Al Hasan scored 29 runs from 38 balls. Anamul Haque (14), Mushfiqur Rahim (18), and Mahmudullah Riyad (14) also chipped in with handy contributions with the bat.
From India’s bowling point of view, Mohammed Siraj picked a sensational three-wicket haul while the debutant Kuldeep Sen and Washington Sundar picked two wickets each. Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur also scalped a wicket apiece.
Shakib Al Hasan’s 5-Fer Helps Bangladesh Dismiss India for 186
Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan and Ebadot Hossain ran through the Indian batting lineup and bowled them out for 186 runs despite a fighting knock of 73 from KL Rahul.
While Shakib Al Hasan (4/36) claimed a sensational five-wicket haul, the right-arm quick, Ebadot Hossain (4/47) bagged four wickets to demolish the Indian batting lineup.
Apart from KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma (27), Shreyas Iyer (24), and Washington Sundar (19) could breach the 15-run mark for the Men in Blue against the fiery bowling attack of the hosts.
