Bangladesh batter Jaker Ali played a gritty knock against India and celebrated his half-century in style. He reached the milestone on the first ball of the 36th over, bowled by Kuldeep Yadav. Jaker Ali Holds Firm as Bangladesh Struggles

Bangladesh found themselves in deep trouble early in the innings, losing five wickets inside nine overs. Mohammed Shami and Axar Patel did the bulk of the damage, reducing Bangladesh to 35/5. However, Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy steadied the innings with a crucial partnership.

Despite the slow scoring rate, Jaker remained patient and played sensibly to rebuild the innings. His innings of 54 runs off 95 balls included three boundaries. He rotated the strike well and ensured Bangladesh did not suffer another collapse.

At the time of his fifty, Bangladesh had reached 143/5 in 37.1 overs, with Jaker and Hridoy putting together a much-needed partnership.

Jaker Ali’s ‘Pushpa’ Celebration

After reaching his fifty, Jaker Ali pulled off the famous “Pushpa” celebration, inspired by the popular South Indian movie. He placed his bat under his chin and moved it forward, imitating Allu Arjun’s iconic gesture from the film. The celebration entertained the fans and brought some energy to the Bangladesh camp, who needed something to cheer about after a rough start.

With Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy still at the crease, Bangladesh will hope to push towards a competitive total against a dominant Indian bowling attack.
