Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the fastest Indian and the second-fastest overall to reach 200 wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs). He accomplished this feat during India’s ongoing match against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Shami reached the milestone in his 104th ODI by dismissing Jaker Ali, which was his third wicket of the match. Earlier in the game, he had already removed Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. His disciplined bowling played a key role in putting Bangladesh under pressure.
With this achievement, Shami has joined an elite list of bowlers who have reached 200 ODI wickets in quick time.
