India captain Rohit Sharma is expected to return for the second Test against Bangladesh, starting December 22nd in Mirpur.
As per sources close to ANI, Rohit went for rehabilitation and will recover in time before the commencement of the second Test match.
The 34-year-old missed the third ODI, as well as the first Test, against Bangladesh, due to a thumb injury sustained in the second ODI.
KL Rahul is leading the Indian team in the absence of Rohit Sharma in the first Test. Rahul scored 22 and 23 runs in the first two innings, respectively, while his batting partner Shubman Gill completed his maiden Test hundred in the second innings.
Cheteshwar Pujara also ended his long century drought in Tests and struck a magnificent 102* off 130 balls with 13 fours in the second innings.
Bangladesh needs 241 runs to win while India is four wickets away from taking a 1-0 in the two-match series.
