IND vs BAN: Taskin Ahmed Ruled Out of the Series Opener Against India
Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out of the upcoming first ODI against India.

Bangladesh suffered a huge blow ahead of their three-match ODI series against India as their ace bowler Taskin Ahmed was ruled out of the first game owing to recurring back problems.
The 27-year-old fast bowler was expected to lead the hosts’ pace attack against star-studded India, considering the blistering form he is carrying. BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin confirmed the development to Cricbuzz.
“Taskin is ruled out from the opening game of the ODIs as his back pain recurred. We will be seeing his progress before taking further decisions regarding his participation,” BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin told Cricbuzz on Thursday
“We are waiting for Tamim’s scan report. He had a groin injury and the physician asked him to have a scan to take a decision about his availability.”
The two teams are set to play two Test matches after the conclusion of the ODI series. The BCCI already announced the squads for ODI and Test matches as the Men in Blue kick starts its preparations for the ODI World Cup in 2023.
