Rohit Sharma surpassed Rahul Dravid in India's all-time ODI run list, becoming the fourth-highest run-scorer for the country in the format.

Rohit Sharma added another milestone to his name during the second ODI against England in Cuttack on Sunday, February 9. The Indian captain went past former India coach and legendary batter Rahul Dravid in the list of highest run-scorers for India in ODIs.

Before the match, Rohit needed just 22 runs to surpass Dravid, and he achieved the feat in style by smashing a straight six off Saqib Mahmood in the fifth over. With this, he moved up to the fourth spot in India’s all-time ODI run-scorers list, only behind Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Sourav Ganguly.

Rohit Sharma Surpasses Chris Gayle in Six-Hitting Record

Rohit Sharma also broke another major record during the match. With his second six of the innings, he went past West Indies legend Chris Gayle for the most sixes in ODIs. He now stands second on the all-time list, only behind Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi.

The Indian captain looked in great touch at the start of his innings, playing some stunning strokes. He will be looking to continue this form and build on these records as the series progresses.
