Umesh Had Returned from Australia Tour Due to Muscle Strain

Umesh had to return mid-way from the Australia tour due to muscle strain. Yadav was injured in the second test match of the four-Test match series played in Melbourne on the tour of Australia. He had returned to India and was training at the National Cricket Academy.

In the four-Test match series, both teams winning one match each. Both the opening Test matches were played in Chennai. England beat India by 227 runs in the first Test. Whereas, in the second Test, India defeated England by 317 runs and levels the series by 1-1.
