IND vs SL: Jasprit Bumrah Added To India’s ODI Squad
Jasprit Bumrah will join Indian team soon.

In a major development ahead of the first T20I between India and Sri Lanka, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been added to the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The National Cricket Academy (NCA), headed by VVS Laxman, declared Jasprit Bumrah fit after the pacer underwent rehabilitation. The star pacer will join the Indian team soon.
Bumrah last played for India in the T20Is at home against Australia in September last year, before being ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a stress fracture in his back.
Bumrah’s return will bolster India’s fast bowling department, which currently comprises Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik and Mohammed Shami.
BCCI’s statement:
“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.”
“Bumrah was out of cricketing action from September 2022 and was also ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a back injury. The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon.”
