IND vs WI: Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden Test fifty on his debut.
India’s young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden Test fifty on the second day of the ongoing Test match against West Indies at Windsor Park, Dominica.
In reply to West Indies’ 150-run in the first inning, India started off on a brilliant note, scoring 80 runs for no loss on the opening day at the end of the day’s play.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made India’s Test debut in this match resumed batting at 40 on the second day and completed his half-century in 104 balls in 33rd over with a boundary.

The boundary also brought up a 100-run stand between Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal. Notably, this is the first 100-run opening stand for India in 22 Test innings.
Soon after Yashasvi Jaiswal’s fifty, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma also scored fifty — his 15th half-century in Test cricket. At the time of writing, India’s scorecard reads 120 runs for no loss in 40 overs.
