This is the first time that an IPL auction will be hosted outside India. The total purse for each franchise has been increased from INR 95 crore to INR 100 crore.

The BCCI has informed all IPL franchises that the deadline for releasing the list of retained players is now extended to November 26, providing teams with extra time for strategic squad decisions.
