IPL 2020: Aakash Chopra Selected his Ideal Playing XI For KKR

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have won the Indian Premier League (IPL) title twice. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19 and KKR’s team is also considered to be a strong contender for the tournament’s playoffs. Aakash Chopra, former cricketer and current star commentator of Team India, has chosen KKR’s Perfect Playing XI for IPL 2020.
Cricketer turned commentator has included both Eoin Morgan and Pat Cummins in the playing XI of the team led by Dinesh Karthik.
Chopra has picked Sunil Narine and Shubman Gill as the openers. Narine has impressed a lot as an opener and is known for giving the team a quick start. While at the helm, Gill plays hard and specializes in scoring fast once set. At number three, Aakash Chopra has chosen Nitish Rana, who is known for playing with consistency in the IPL. Skipper Dinesh Karthik has been picked to bat at number-4 by Aakash Chopra, while at number five, he has decided to field Eoin Morgan.
It is evident that under the captaincy of Morgan, the England team has done well in limited-overs cricket. Andre Russell has been placed at number six by Chopra, while for number seven, he has decided to keep either Rinku Singh, Siddhesh Lad or Rahul Tripathi.
For Russell, Chopra said, “At No.6, I have got Andre Russell. He can come up the order as well. He should be sent when around 40 deliveries are left in the innings. Kolkata Knight Riders are almost on par with Mumbai Indians when it comes to finishing.”
After this, Aakash Chopra has put the most expensive player of this IPL auction, Pat Cummins. After which he has named Kuldeep Yadav in the team. The Prasidh Krishna is at number-10. KKR have a lot of young pacers and Chopra said that he would go for one among Sandeep Warrier, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti at number-11.
