IPL 2020: Aakash Chopra Selected his Playing XI of Kings XI Punjab Team
Former Indian Cricketer and Commentator, Aakash Chopra picked a possible playing XI of Delhi Capitals for the first match of the tournament, has now picked a possible playing XI of Kings XI Punjab under the captaincy of KL Rahul.
There is now less than a week left for the Indian Premier League (IPL) to create a buzz in the cricket world. All the teams are preparing vigorously for the tournament.
Apart from this, veteran cricketers, experts and analysts are also choosing their favourite teams or playing XI for the IPL teams before the tournament starts.
Recently, Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricketer and commentator who has picked a possible playing XI of Delhi Capitals for the first match of the tournament, has now picked a possible playing XI of Kings XI Punjab under the captaincy of KL Rahul.
Aakash Chopra, taking a surprising decision in this team, has not selected Chris Gayle, one of the most dangerous T20 batsman in the world. It is also a shocking decision because it is Gayle who has played the best IPL innings (175 runs). Gayle will also have a great chance to touch the figure of 1000 sixes in T20 format. This is a record that hardly anyone can break. In the IPL too, the record of hitting the most sixes is recorded in Gayle’s name. Gayle, who hit 326 sixes in the IPL, has hit a total of 978 sixes in the T20 format and if he hits another 22 sixes in the upcoming season of the IPL, his name will be recorded as 1000 T20 sixes.
Aakash has selected captain KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal as the openers in this team of Kings XI Punjab. At number three, he gave a choice of two players which includes the names of Karun Nair and Mandeep Singh. In the middle order, Aakash chose Nicholas Pooran, Glenn Maxwell, Sarfaraz Khan. Also included in the Lower Order were Krishnappa Gowtham and Chris Jordan.
