Former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar has picked his best XI of the just concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. At the No.3 position, Agarkar preferred young Ishan Kishan, the second-highest run-scorer for MI this season, over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli.

As the cricket fraternity is busy in picking their best players and teams, former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar is also not lagging behind. Recently Sky Sports posted a video on their YouTube channel in which Agarkar chose his best XI of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

For the openers, he picked SunRisers Hyderabad’s skipper and top-order batsman David Warner and Delhi Capitals’ Shikhar Dhawan. Warner, playing in IPL 2020 once again proved why he is considered as one of the most dangerous T20 players. Dhawan, on the other hand, is the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament with 618 runs in 17 games. He also became the first batsman to hit two consecutive centuries in the IPL. He started the event with a few slow knocks, but then found his rhythm.

For number three he picked Mumbai Indians’ top-order batsman Ishan Kishan, who has impressed the cricket fraternity with his brilliant batting skills.

At number four, he went for Suryakumar Yadav, the most consistent player of Mumbai Indians. At number five, Agarkar preferred AB de Villiers, who had a decent time for the Challengers, who bowed out of the 2020 IPL after a defeat in the Eliminator at the hands of the Sunrisers.

For number six, Agarkar went with Mumbai Indians’ middle-order batsman Hardik Pandya. He accumulated 281 runs in 14 games with a strike rate of 178.98. At Number 7, he picked Delhi Capitals’ all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who did miracles with his bat as well as the bowl.

In the fast bowling department, Agarkar went for Kagiso Rabada and Jasprit Bumrah. While Rabada ended as the Purple Cap holder with 30 wickets in 17 games, Bumrah is second in the tally with 27 wickets in 15 games.

As spinner specialist, Agarkar picked up Yuzvendra Chahal and Varun Chakravarthy. While Chahal was the highest wicket-taker for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Varun Chakravarthy of Kolkata Knight Riders was the only bowler to pick up a five-wicket haul that he took against the Capitals in Abu Dhabi.
