Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 37 runs in the 25th match of IPL 2020. Bengaluru won the toss and gave a target of 170 runs while batting first. In response, Chennai was able to score 132 runs after losing 8 wickets.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 37 runs in the 25th match of the 13th season of IPL. In the match played in Dubai, Bengaluru won the toss and gave a target of 170 runs while batting first. In response, Chennai was able to score 132 runs after losing 8 wickets. This is RCB’s biggest win against Chennai in terms of runs. Earlier, in 2010, RCB defeated Chennai by 36 runs.

RCB captain Virat Kohli (90 runs) made his 38th fifty in the IPL. With this win, Bengaluru is in the top-4 of the points table.

Rayudu and Jagadeesan Scored The Most Runs For Chennai

Chennai Super Kings got off with poor start while chasing the target of 170. The team had lost two wickets for just 25 runs. Ambati Rayudu was the highest (42 runs) scorer for Chennai and N. Jagadeesan, who was playing debut match, scored 33 runs. At the same time, Chris Morris of Bengaluru took 3 and Washington Sundar took 2 wickets, while Isuru Udana and Yuzvendra Chahal got 1-1 wicket.

Kohli-Padikkal Handled RCB Innings

Bengaluru scored 169 runs for 4 wickets. The team did not start well. RCB had lost the first wicket for 13 runs. After this, captain Virat Kohli took over the innings with a partnership of 53 runs for the second wicket with Devdutt Padikkal. Kohli scored an unbeaten 90 off 52 balls and Padikkal scored 33 off 34 balls.

Kohli then made an unbeaten 75-run partnership for the 5th wicket with Shivam Dubey. Shivam scored 22 runs off 14 balls. At the same time, Shardul Thakur took the maximum 2 wickets for Chennai. Deepak Chahar and Sam Curran also got 1-1 wickets.

Shardul Dismissed Padikkal-de Villiers in One Over

Shardul Thakur took two wickets in the 11th over of the innings. He got Devdutt Padikkal (33 runs) and AB de Villiers crucial wicket. De Villiers could not even score a single run and back to pavilion for a duck. Aaron Finch scored 2 runs. He was bowled by Deepak Chahar.

Dhoni and Kohli Together on Ground After 15 Months

After 15 months, two Indian cricket giants CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and RCB captain Virat Kohli have come together on the field. Although both are holding a front against each other. Earlier in the 2019 World Cup semi-finals, the two were seen together.

RCB skipper Virat Kohli is adjudged the man of the Match for his fantastic knock of 90* off 52 deliveries with the help of 4 sixes and 4 fours.

Whereas, CSK still at the fifth position in the points table with just 2 wins in total 7 matches played this season. This is CSK’s second consecutive defeat.
